CUDDLE: A CLOSE EMBRACE

CRAFTING GIFTS FOR BABIES BORN IN POVERTY

FOLLOWING MY PASSION SINCE 1992

CUDDLE: A CLOSE EMBRACE answers the question: What can I do to help children in need?

I started this international, non-profit project in 2008 in South Africa because 13 MILLION South African children still live in poverty. I strongly believe all children deserve a comfortable start in life. I love to do my outreach work and collaborate with other children's charities.

Many parents unfortunately experience a challenge: finding a way to provide baby clothes, a warm blanket or sleeping bag and comfort toys for their baby.

I feel privileged that I can, in my own way, answer their call for help. I aim to embrace the babies with everything that I crochet, knit and sew.

CUDDLE COCOONS

Families in South Africa really appreciate these sleeping bags for their newborn babies. I hope that these cocoons are close embraces for babies to stay warm, calm, cozy and comfortable.

CUDDLE donated to:

Operation Smile Thailand

Child's Dream Foundation Thailand

Various children's homes in Asia

A preschool in Cambodia

The Grace Factory South Africa

CUDDLE currently donates to:

The Baby Box Project, South Africa

Stichting Babyspullen, The Netherlands

These organisations give maternity packs to new parents living in poverty in South Africa and The Netherlands. The bags and boxes contain baby clothes and baby care supplies. The gifts I make are included in these packs. I would love to join a hospital visit and item distribution again.
